I plan on playing games like simcity and minecraft. I also animate in flash and edit my videos in sony vegas 13. I would like to record/streaming in obs ,too. I want to know if this will be sufficient for such tasks. Thanks in advance!

Solution
Still a no on the PSU. Evga B2/GS/G2/P2 units are the good ones. Your build is $733 without mail in rebates, just as an FYI, so I am sticking close to that. This will give you i7 multithreaded performance.

This will be sufficient. To those that suggest i5s, those would do as well, but this is cheaper. Two things though:

1. Swap that 8350 for an 8320E. It will use less power and OC to the same levels easily. Its It's also like $40 cheaper.

2. Get an R9 380 4GB instead. Its a bit more powerful for less money. Or, better yet, grab an R9 390 for ~$280, it can play at 4k at about 30FPS. Nothing wrong with future proofing.

If you can though, switch to an i5. They perform better in gaming, and have Quick Sync (Which takes all recording load off the CPU, and uses the iGPU instead)

You definitely need to upgrade CPU cooling. Go for a Noctua CPU fan. They are very quiet and perform well.

You should upgrade your GPU to the R9 380. Your power supply may need to be upgraded to a 600/700W because the Fx processors use a lot of power. But you might be able to get away with the 500W.

The rest of your system looks good if you're only planning on editing and playing those 2 games.

Much more powerful (Intel has MUCH better corw performance than AMD, and 3.2 GHz here equals about 5.0GHz on an 8350). That Radeon also has slightly better performance. Use Intel Quick Sync to record, and all load will be taken off the system. More expensive, but better parts and USB 3.1.

Hey guys! Is this any better for recording and editing.

Looks better but not sufficient enough CPU cooling. I would recommend a Hyper 212 Evo.

Also the mobo isn't very good. I wouldn't recommend Asrock for AMD CPU's. Gigabyte would be a good choice.

Yeah this look great! Just below my maximum price. Thanks!
