XMP is also a function of the processor - some Pentium G's and i3's only support DDR3 @1333/1400 - on z87 you may be able to force 1866 manually, but a 4GB stick will run single channel so you may be better off with a lower clock and CL setting for better "true" latency

My DDR3 HyperX Fury 1833mhz didnt have an XMP showing due to the chip and mobo, unfortunately you maybe stuck at your base speed (mine was 800mhz) until you upgrade you system, and even then, the move to DDR4 would be a good starting place
