Hey people, come and rag on my choices, I know you want to!

Hey everyone, I know chewing people out for choosing garbage components never gets old, so here you go:

Mobo- ASUS M4A78T-E AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

CPU- AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Black Processor Model HDZ720WFGIBOX - Retail

Vid Card- HIS H485QS1GP Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported IceQ4 Video Card - Retail

Memory- OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Model OCZ3G1600LV6GK - Retail

PS- KINGWIN ABT-730MM 730W ATX 12V Ver.2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Retail

HDD- Western Digital Caviar Black WD5001AALS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -

A little explaining you can skip if you want:
1. 3 core-I got it because I know a lot of apps that use quad core can take advantage of 3 core as well, and tomsHW had an article where they said the jump from one to two cores and two to three cores is significant, but three to four is much smaller. So, to save some money at this point in time.

2. I did not take the time to tally up the power, so i just chose that thing.

3. I am hoping that for future upgrading, the two PCI-E slots will crossfire appropriately, and the AM3 socket will not go out of style, and I can grab another vid card and a quad core when necc. (year or so?)

4. Vid card was hastily chosen (but I love ATI, so please don't recc. nVidia, it would break my heart).

5. Hurt my feelings, rip my build apart. I want the best I can get for my money.

Thanks everyone!
Only two things, you dont need triple channel ram for a dual channel AMD system.
Same price as most dual channel 1333MHz kits.

Also swap the PSU, you dont need that much power but if you want to crossfire in the future you might need somewhere near that.
Currently onsale and significantly cheaper after MIR, and a better brand so it provides almost the same power when rated 30watts lower.

I second this

Get the 4gb version of ocz ram @ either 1333 or 1600.

and a corsair psu. (I have a 650tx

Other than that I have teh exact same stuff minus the gpu & hdd

Get a 640gb WD Black as well. Much better

You could also contemplate an upgrade to a 4870.

That's cheaper than the 4850 you picked out

Edit: But if you absolutely need the 1gb card 1920x1200?

XFX's 48701gb is 146.99

When I bought my cpu/mobo they were a combo for 194.99.

The mobo has some pretty nifty bios.

You'll want to use the orange slots for the ram then fix the timings & volts.
