It has pretty good specs, LED backlight, 2 ms response GTG, full hd and all that, anyone know if its good or not? Good picture quality, and can you find me a review?
Hey so I think I was in the same boat as you not too long ago, as I also considered the Sceptre. As far as I can tell it is fairly new to the market and because of this no good reviews of it exist. I have however found a fairly helpful PC Gamer review(blurb) at ftp://ftp.sceptre.com/pub/Review/LED/SCEP%20PcGamer%208-10.pdf
which said that it was thin and had a fast response time with mediocre color reproduction and crappy speakers. I read this as a bad review as people normally buy LED backlit monitors for better color and contrast and not for faster response times which can be had for cheaper and likely with less ghosting. There is also a reviewer on Newegg who said that it had some sort of circuit board problem and would be completely useless after a few months of usage(it is also important to note that is seems like someone is trying to bury this users post and the other negative feed back posts on Newegg )
To sum it up I would buy a cheaper monitor without the LED backlight if you want a fast response or spring for a more expensive LED backlit monitor from Samsung or LG. The Samsung XL2370 is usually just under $300 but has a 2ms response time and some of the best color and contrast ratings you can buy in this class/price; the LG E2350V-SN is cheaper with a slower response time.
I ended up choosing the Dell SP2309W which Cnet rates as better than the XL2370 overall because of its top notch features and above par performance for the class even though the image is not as good as the Samsung XL2370.
