Hey so i just bought an gtx 1070 and i was wondering if my power supply is enough
my power supply is: 450 watts, autosensing, 85% PSU, EnergyStar 6.1, universal (110V-220V)
this is a prebuild gaming pc
my computer specs are:http://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PDF/Lenovo%20Desktops/ideacentre%20Y700/ideacentre_Y700_Platform_Specifications-win502.pdf

I dont really have any money to upgrade atm so im just wondering if this is still cable to play games with high graphics

Solution
I might get yelled at for this lol. I also shop at microcenter for my parts and picked this up recently.

https://www.microcenter.com/product/485308/750-watt-80-plus-bronze-atx-semi-modular-power-supply

It is rated for 62.5 amps on a single 12v+ rail.

I'm running the following

Ryzen 7 1700x stock speed
Asrock b350 pro 4
RX Vega 56- powercolor red dragon edition
16gb crucial ballistix ddr4 3000

That power supply is their house brand. I got it at the time because it seemed good for the money, and they haven't seen a lot come back. I went overkill on it though, plus it's only a few dollars more than the 650 watt. I also purchased a 2 year replacement plan for it, so far it's holding up well.

Quality is equally important to wattage rating. The psu is put under stress for long periods of time in a gaming pc, it is arguably the most important part of the pc. You would be better off spending a bit more on a high quality 500-550w than a cheap lower quality 600w.

Solution
Seasonic is definitely good.

I know the powerspec I got said it had Japanese capacitors, but don't ask me how much that means. Made me feel a little better that they weren't Chinese capacitors that a lot of reviewers seem to not care for.

But if you are willing to invest, those 2 options are probably better than the powerspec. Keep in mind, I have 2 year replacement plans on nearly all of my components so if my PSU does blow up, I can replace stuff like my motherboard, PSU, and GPU because of those warranties.
