Hey Tom's community, I need your guys help. (Do these parts fit)

Solution
The new motherboard is ATX standard. The Source 210 is an ATX mid tower that fits 160mm cpu coolers. The CM Hyper 212 is 160mm.

So yes, the board will fit, and yes the cooler will fit (tight but doable)

Hey Yorkey. I'm glad you posted here. I would like to give you some information to try and sway you away from the FX series processors. Without sounding like an Intel fanboy, I want you to be aware that AMD doesn't have any offerings currently worth buying.

My first desktop I built in 2012 had an FX 4300 CPU. I heard people were overclocking to 5Ghz. The best I could get was 4.6Ghz, still 0.6Ghz past Turbo. So I was happy. About 2 years later, I wanted something more. I never got the performance I wanted and always felt heavy FPS drops. I decided to buy the FX 8320 and overclock it, again I managed to push 4.6Ghz. She ran hot and it was barely an improvement.

With your current position, I would recommend you save your money or buy Intel. Realistically, you should wait until AMD Ryzen comes out so we can see those numbers. It will be out if you aren't planning on a new CPU until August anyways. So that's good! Haha. What you could buy right now and see noticeable improvements would be an i3 6100 > 4170, or an i5 6400 > 4460. The 4000 series uses the 1150 socket. The 6000 series uses the 1151 socket.

Depending on your budget and when you plan on upgrading, I can offer you difference recommendations. Motherboard-wise, you do not need anything fancy. A cheap $50 motherboard is as good as a $150 motherboard if all you need is 1 PCIe slot for your GPU and 2 slots for ram. We'll assume that you need the basics. It's super unfortunate that so many people were told they need gaming Z series motherboards for their simple CPUs. It's a huge waste of money.

However! If you plan to go with Skylake (6000 series Intel CPU), you can overclock their normally unoverclockable CPUs very easily. All you need to do is a BIOS flash. If this is something you aren't comfortable with, then ignore the following information: http://overclocking.guide/gigabyte-z170-non-k-overclocking-guide/

Here are some example builds for you

1) I've only put 1 stick of ram in here to save money, this is the budget overclock option:

These give you options at $200, $300, and $400.

The case you chose will work great for any standard build. This following case is one that I really enjoy as a budget option. Gives you leds, a side panel and 3 fans already installed. It's a tight fit with big GPUs but it has been nice to work with in the past. https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811353060&cm_re=diypc_zonnda-_-11-353-060-_-Product

I hope this information helps you.
