Is it ok to take out my 980 and put in my 270x and restore the system to my save point when I had AMD drivers, then use DDU to uninstall them again when I get my 980ti?
I would strongly recommend against this. System restore uses a temporary location on your hard drive that has a limited amount of space. If it has been a long time since you've used the 270x, there may be missing files when you run system restore. When the temp location runs out of space it begins overwriting the oldest files.
The safe bet would be to uninstall the nVidia graphics drivers, then install the 270x.
Yea actually I just uninstalled the 280x drivers like 2 days ago. I was advised by Nvidia chat not to do this but im wondering if it will fix this error im receiving in services>nvidia streamer service>properties> Click what happens if program crashes>ERROR Invalid Handle Internal Error
