Question Hi, 2133 mhz to 3200. 8GB To 16GB

I use:

- Amd ryzen 5 2600
- AS rock B450M PRO4
- G.skill Trizent Z 16 gb 3200 memory
- R9 290
- Using A2/B2 RAM SLOT

I've enable XMP profile but won't go higher than 2133. I'm new to OC ram so i don't want to mess up.

I can only use 8G ram even though i have 16G. My windows says I have Hardware reserved: 8.1 GB.

I've already did:

• Upgrade my bios
• Enable XMP and tried without it too
• Uncheck Maximum Memory in Boot/Adavanced Option

It's my new setup and i really want it to work. Please help me out.

I just tried with XMP profile pick 2933 mhz nothing happen. Tried 2666 and nothing happen too. When i swap the settings in the XMP my pc is having a hard time starting like the fan start then stop for 3-4 time until it start the bios

Update, I'm able to get 16 G ram on A1/B1 can run on 2667 higher my windows crash

Does each module run and display as 8GB in slot A2? That is the initial slot so if you have problems with those then it may be an issue with mobo or CPU. Check CPU socket pins to make sure they are perfect. Any slight change can cause a problem.

Actually no the slot A2/B2 wasn't giving me 16 GB. My mobo is new should I return it? My cpu has no problem all the pins are perfect
