Hi all USB ports won't work.

Hi all.I got a sudden problem today, I was updating my computer with damone lite software. So I did the restart when prompted. As soon as the desktop screen loads the mouse and keyboard lose power. But work on Bios screen.

Steps taken so far:

Reset battery on the motherboard.
Checked to see if the ports are open.

System-

I5 4690k
R9270x
Motherboard- asus x97k

try selecting safemode by pressing the f8 button in the post screen before it loads windows. if keyboard & mouse work in safemode then do a system restore to before you used that software. if keyboard & mouse still does not work then borrow a ps2 keyboard & mouse as long as you have ps2 ports on your computer to do a system restore to before you used that software.
