Not a need but i have just setup my sister's new laptop and installed it and i quite like it so the need now is not immediate but I would like it from the use i've had already. I know it comes with some caveats but eventually i would like to go to windows 11 so either way i need to sort this issue 🙂do you have a need for windows 11?
Is windows on your pc installed in UEFI mode?i made everything ufei first and it would not post and kept chucking me back to the bios.
Ok cool i think i just got to this in my wondering of the net and i managed to conert it to GPT (guide partition table)Windows is installed in legacy mode.
You need to convert to UEFI compatible windows installation first.
Only after that you can switch to UEFI boot in BIOS and enable secure boot.
Use mbr2gpt utility.

Switch to UEFI boot in BIOS,Now what do i do in BIOS to make this work?
Of course, thank you 🙂and always backup your data. just in case
Switch to UEFI boot in BIOS,
set Windows Boot Manager as first in boot order,
enable secure boot, if necessary.
You can check current BIOS mode and Secure boot state with msinfo32.
