Hi asking about pc problem

Hi currently a week ago i buy a gigabyte gtx 460 from my friend. The reason why i buy it because i want to uprade my sucky gt630. Before i install it i already uninstall the driver. And soon after i install the gtx 460 with my old corsair tx750w and i start the pc i smell burning on the ram . I already use my old setup but it wont work. I send shop and the shopkeeper say ram faulty.
Do you know what the problems causing my rams gone faulty
It is the gpu problem or the psu problem?

How long did it run before you smelt that?

About 10seconds then i touch the ram , the ram gone hot. It tried to reboot on itself. Then use my old setup no use.
Shopkeepers says ram faulty and it actually ram faulty.
Does the gpu problem or the old psu?
