Hi I got an SATA ssd and installed on my mother board sata slot1 and hdd in on sata slot 0 and installed windows on ssd so everything is good but some people say sata0 is faster id that true should i change my ssd/windows to port 0 ?
Thanks 🙏Never seen anything to support such a statement from any reputable source. Sata is sata and the port number has nothing to do with speed. It's just a hardware id so you and the mobo knows what is plugged in where
Just to add no such thing as a stupid question but they are stupid answers. An Stupid friend
Older motherboards, used to have performance differences between SATA ports. Some would be associated with the motherboard chipset and others would be an add-on. There could be performance differences in those situations. But with a current motherboard, all the SATA ports come from the motherboard chipset and have equal performance.Hi I got an SATA ssd and installed on my mother board sata slot1 and hdd in on sata slot 0 and installed windows on ssd so everything is good but some people say sata0 is faster id that true should i change my ssd/windows to port 0 ?
Run your own test flip the 2 cables then you won't have to take someone else's opinion.Hi I got an SATA ssd and installed on my mother board sata slot1 and hdd in on sata slot 0 and installed windows on ssd so everything is good but some people say sata0 is faster id that true should i change my ssd/windows to port 0 ?
