Honestly, I don't have a ------------- clue why the OP's system fails so hard.
-4770k @4.45 GHz
-ASUS Maximus VI Hero
-3440X1440 resolution
-GTX 1080@stock
-FPS capped @60
-Acer Predator X34 3440X1440 100Hz monitor
-HT disabled as the game runs practically on 2 cores.
I am playing Civ VI all the time these days.
Because I was using the HWIFO64 real-time graph recording feature to check for voltage spikes for my OC, I found out that the game practically runs on 2 cores. The voltage spikes would look smt like that:
Core 0: 1.248V-to 1.280V
Core 1: 0.5-1.024V
Core 2: 1.248V to 1.280V
Core 3: 0.5-1.024V
There is no way in hell that a 4790K struggles and runs at a constant 100% with this game, unless the OP is trying to make it run at 144Hz at 4K which is completely unreasonable (to use sweet language, normally I'd use harsher language) for this game as it's not an FPS shooter and there's no reason for FPS over 60.
Idk, I see all sorts of strangeness in here, it's as if all the ppl with the jinxed DIS BE DA VOODOO MON systems come and post here.
