Question Hi guys. My computer is starting on after 25+ second after pushing the start button. What is the problem?

Any beep codes, LED's, pop-up windows during that 25 second lag?

Windows 10?

Look in Reliability History and Event Viewer - There may be some informational entries, warnings or error codes captured during the slow boot up.

Look in Task Manager > Startup. There could be some application trying to launch, phone home, backup, etc.. And unable to do so.

Or the system could be looking for some unavailable network device: printer, NAS, or computer (any shares?).

The delay could also be due to some ongoing attempt to complete an upgrade or other effort that ends up failing so the computer "gives up" and proceeds with the boot process.

Ensure that all drivers are up to date.

Also try running "sfc /scannow" (without quotes) via the command prompt.

You could try replacing your CMOS battery. Unplug your pc, hold power bitton for 30s to get the ridof static electricity, remove the small coin like battery on the mobo, wait for 5 mins, plug the new CR3202 in then plug pc in and start. Well it does clear the CMOS so you should take a look at CMOS settings before you process. It works for some guys around here.

If the above does not work. You could try removing all component except cpu, 1 ram, mobo, psu, cpu cooler, vga (intergrated is recommended) and bring them all outsite pc case, putiing on any non-electric conductivity surface to test if the case shorted your mobo or thepsu did not provide enough power. If these not work, try testing on another psu. If it still not work. You could replace the motherboard. I believe it should work then.

860 EVO SSD is just a regular SATA drive. You should have gotten a NVMe M.2 storage drive if you wanted faster boot times.

NVMe (non-volatile memory express) is a host controller interface and storage protocol that uses PCIe not SATA.

Windows 10 boot times are measured from the time it takes between hitting the power button to reaching the Windows desktop.
