I have a Compaq Presario R3000 Series (R3230US)
I have been trying to get audio from vista and Windows 7 but it seems that they wonderfu industry have gathered to force people not to just buy sowftwre but they also want you to buy hardware. Well back to the topic. My R3230 has no sound with its built in speakers for a while now;however, with Linux Ubuntu I have great sound. Unfortunately I cannot do everything with Ubuntu so I have two (2) hard drives, one for linux and the other for Windows environment. Well in Windows 7 I have no sound, and I also have my USB external Sound Blasterl system from Creative Labs. Well I cant get the Sound Blaster to work correctly, and Sound Blaster no longer has their drivers download available for this unit (Nice hey...) And to make maters even bettttttter I have tried severak drivers to make the internal speakers and nothing.
Is there a Pro-BoNo GURU out there that can get the internal Speakers to work with my Windows environment, and if Im not asking too much can anyone out there pretty please help me with the softwarre For the Creative Labs/Sound Blaste.
If anyone can assist me I will be appreciative.

Respectfully,

Yamaguchi
