Hello! As mentioned above i would ask if anyone had experience with a build similar like mine on a 27" 1440p 144hz display?

Mobo/Asus strix z270F gaming
Cpu/intel i5 7600k
Gpu/Geforce 1070 gaming x Msi
Ram/Corsair Dominator platinum 16gb 2133hz c10

Thank you in advance for any answers i really appreciate your help!

I know what you mean about 'regretting it' as i do admit a few times i'm annoyed i can only get 60fps in some modern games compared to if i played 1080p the frames would be max. Mostly its dude to optimisation as usual.

But i prefer to see more than have super high frames of 120+, its nice to play old games at higher frames.

There is nothing wrong with sticking to 1080p espeically if you have a 120 or 144hz one.

Well i have a GTX 1080 on a 1440p 144hz Gsync panel and on high-ultra it gets around 80-100 nearly all my modern games and a hand full lock at 120-144 if i play high. Dishonored 2 i lock at 60fps and also for the Bethesda games due to their engine.

GTX 1070 can just handle 1440p but i would say it better for 60hz rather than going variable on a 144hz.

@wayfall so i guess i should stick with the 24" 1080p 144hz (g-sync?) on my 1070? well i think that if i buy the 1440p 144hz i will kind of regret it because eventually it will not be so smooth as i imagened it would be.

thanks for the help guys!

Well i think i will go for a 24" 1080p 144hz just for the sake of not updating my card so soon.
Thank you for your help/advice i really appreciate it!

np, with 1080p 60hz you will be a able to max your games for a good few years.
