Asus gtx 1060 3gb on a asus strix B350-F gameing motherboard with a ryzen 3 2200g powerd by a Evga 650 watt pwr supply and the gpu isn’t posting can anyone help?
Yes it is the card has a small light that comes on and if it is plugged in the light is green but if you unplug it it’ll turn red.Is the 6 pin fully inserted and make sure it's fully slotted.
No I bought it from my friend and it works fine in his rigDid it used to work?Is it new?
Yes I also have a nvidia gtx 650ti and it works fine in all slotsDo you have an onboard gpu or a spare one?
Yes I even cleaned the contacts and played around in bios and nothing changedHave you tried it after the 1060 error?
Ok I did it’s still doing the same thing. Also I forgot to include was bios doesn’t recognize it nor does the drivers for the 1060Uninstall the drivers of the 650ti.Remove 650ti.Insert the 1060.
Yes it acts like it’s working but it doesn’t postDo the fans spin at least?
I wish I could send you a video of itDo the fans spin at least?
I have done all of that already. Do you think it could have gotten damaged somehow?Another thought.Update windows.Use DUU to uninstall 650ti drivers.Go into bios and disable the onboard gpu (of the cpu).Reinsert the 1060.
Yes we tested it on his rig and it worked fine and I tested it on all my rigs that have pci-e and they don’t recognize it and they have graphics cards as well and the PC putting it in I just built and bought the card as well thinking it would be a good build for VR. Is there any places that can maybe repair it I only bought it for $100If you havent done anything funky with the card while your pc was powered on i dont think so.Since its your friends gpu you can always ask him to test it on his pc.
Ok thank you for your helpSince it works on his rig its not fried..I dont know what else to tell you..Try going to a repair shop and let them take a look at it.
