Hi, I have a laptop DELL Vostro 3450. Today, after almost 4 years of use I got a message that "the charging adapter can not be determined, the system is running slower and Battery gets not charged. Does anybody have an explanation of this problem and - eventually - how to solve it?

Replace the charging cable.

However, you may first want to remove the battery and unplug the cable, press the power button for sixty seconds, reinstall the battery and plug the power cable back in, connected to power, and see if the message returns. If it does, replace the cable. IF not, you still might have a cable or battery issue, or it may have just been a momentary glitch.
