go for the 2700x
i don't want to OC , so what to pick ?8700 is better for gaming but not by much. Personally I would get the 8700k or 9700k because being able to OC if you want is a good option to have and for me the 9700k is the same price as the 8700k so why not
my options are : ryzen 5 3600 , ryzen 7 2700x , intel i7 8700 and i5 9600k , but i will not OC , and i want to play at 1080p res.For pure gaming the 8700. Is the 3700X an option?
What resolution are you gaming at?
Go for i7 8700, I'm using it with stock cooler(going to buy dark rock pro 4) 😂 All cores @4.3 on asrock b360 pro4.My GPU : RTX 2070
RAM : 16Gb
SSD : 1Tb
In which case I'd go with the 3600my options are : ryzen 5 3600 , ryzen 7 2700x , intel i7 8700 and i5 9600k , but i will not OC , and i want to play at 1080p res.

If he is not overclocking there is no need to go for such high end boards, the money saved by using a lower tier motherboard will bring more benefit spent elsewhere.Look at the 3600 or 8700. If you do go with the 3600 make sure to get an X470 or X570 as they are a lot newer and have a lot more features or a Z390 motherboard as they are the best for that socket type 😊
