[SOLVED] Hi , I need some help with two cpus : intel i7-8700 and a ryzen 7 2700x.I just want to know which of them is better for gaming

Solution
B450 boards are fine, I'd suggest any of the MSI b450 MAX boards for full compatibility and hassle free setup. Just an example, for Fortnite, i went from near 100% cpu usage with my i5 3570k Oc'd to 4.4ghz, down to 30% usage on the 3600..... and the experience is buttery smooth. Most online games will benefit from the extra cores/threads AMD has to offer for the price. 3600>2700x for gaming
Look at the 3600 or 8700. If you do go with the 3600 make sure to get an X470 or X570 as they are a lot newer and have a lot more features or a Z390 motherboard as they are the best for that socket type 😊
If he is not overclocking there is no need to go for such high end boards, the money saved by using a lower tier motherboard will bring more benefit spent elsewhere.

That is true. He could probably get away with a cheaper Z390 board from Gigabyte but I personally don't like B450 boards. I would get an X470 if the budget would allow
