Hi! Is my CPU or graphics card going to be the bottleneck?

Hello, I really appreciate anyone's help!

I am trying to find out if my CPU or my graphic card will be the bottleneck. I am going to buy a EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 560 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express Video Card

My computer specs are:

Intel Dual CPU E8400 @3.00GHz
4GB of RAM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! My graphics card died today and I NEED to replace it soon (StarCraft 2 addict).

Well, your CPU is somewhat of a bottleneck. Try overclocking it more to around 3.4 GHz. If not, I think it is best to get an i3-2100 or at least an Athlon II X3 450.

Overclocking the CPU to 3.5Ghz will make it as good as an i3 in gaming.

^not likely, an i3 2100 will still wipe the floor with it.

That cpu can hit a lot higher than just 3.4ghz if every thing else is decent. A crappy e7x00 series can easily crack 3.5 to 3.6 with just a little work while yours can get around 4ghz if done with some skill.
