Hi I've got a ga z68a d3 b3 motherboard and I want to upgrade to 3770k. Currently my 2500k is running at 4.7gz 1.380 I have a rx 580 and sometimes I feel the lack of cores...

So question one, will it work?
Question two, will I be able to overclock?

PSU FSP 750 80+ gold bios version F11

Yes it is supported. And yes it should overclock. You will need to update the BIOS before installing the CPU.

Since you are on the f11 by bios. you don't technically need to update it anymore. But I would update to the UEFI bios just to have the most up-to-date features.

So I bought the 3770k and when I try to overclock i'm locked at multiplier of 39x. I can only move the blck abit. I'm on F11 VBios.

You said I should be able to overclock, please advise.
