hi ive purchaced a seagate 2 tb hard drive but my computer is not showing it up after ive installed it what do I do

Storage problem,after bying a seagate,2tb internal hard drive I cant get it to install and work help

Hey there col n laura. Is this an internal drive or an external one? I guess that it's now showing up in Windows Explorer? Have you checked if it's recognized in Disk Management? Here's how to open it: How to access Disk Management in Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 to manage hard drives and if it's recognized there, would you please post a screenshot of what you see about the drive and the partition? You shoul also check if it's recognized in Device Manager as well: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/where-is-device-manager (for Windows 7 the instructions are pretty much the same, just click the start button and the type in Device Manager and then click on it to open it)

Let me know what you find out and we'll figure out what to do.
