HI need help

i got a ps3 a computer a x1900 aiw with digital satelite via component
so id like to watch tv on my monitor

i was looking in samsung 32 or 37 "i got cost at best buy and futureshop since my bro works there so great.. so i dont know what to buy lol.. i had to choose from

for 715$ + tax whats great about this monitor i think it can support 1080p since it res is 1920x1200 the only main consern was the sound..

i was looking into the Logitech 630 Watt Digital 5.1 Speaker System With THX (Z-5450) but i like know to know if the sound of my ps3 whould be crappy if i used on my old speakers with a Y audio converter from Radioshacklol.. a 5$ adapter to plug into my set or is it worth getting the gateway + logitechs speakers

or getting a tv witch whould be best? if u have any help to give im open i whould like mb a 32" or 37" if it goes to tv i whould like to get the 1080p tv at a resonable price for my ps3 gets full potentiel

The best compromise for one display device to be both PC monitor and TV... is a 24" LCD monitor + TV tuner.. either PCI card or stand-alone box.

i was wondering about the sound now... to plug my ps3 into my monitor via hdmi -> dvi but what about the sound ?? if i dont got a sound system who cant support optical
