Hi, should I use Windows 7 64-bit Professional or Windows 10 home 64-bit for gaming?

I Plan on using this new build for the next 2 years and then upgrade again, should I choose Windows 7 64-bit Professional or Windows 10 home 64-bit for gaming?


I play a lot of CS:GO, Overwatch, Dota 2 and LoL and I will play some BF 1 and etc.

Only if you want to use more than 16GB of RAM or maybe set up a home network or use XP mode for really old games which doesn't work in many cases anyway.

That article only compares two versions of Windows 7, but the OP is asking about Windows 7 versus Windows 10.

I am sticking with windows 7 so far (simple choice for me, there are more people using windows 7, so games in pc will first be prioritized for windows 7).
Win10 works great for some people, not so great for others. Win7 seems to work for everyone.

Honestly, in your case, I am not sure it will make much difference, but Id still go with windows7.

Why Windows 7 Professional? Home Premium is all you'd need.

At any rate, Windows 10 is the way to go, but buy a retail license if you're planning to upgrade soon.
