[SOLVED] Hi there - $500 Build (Reusing a GPU)

So I'm looking to put together a build for someone else, I already have a 1060 3GB available, just laying around, as well as some 16GB DDR4 ram. She plans to upgrade the GPU in the future, of course the 1060 3GB is not sufficient for today's games but it gets a foot in the door.

Currently I'm considering the 10400F or the Ryzen 3600, but I'm not too sure where to allocate budget. I'm leaning toward Zen 3 simply because with the inevitable GPU upgrade, a 5600X could fit in nicely for the long run, whereas the 10400F seems better in the short term.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Definitely go Ryzen. They are better in literally every way. The 5600x will cost about $299 (a bit pricey, this is about how much a Ryzen 7 3800x costs.) Do you have a case or cooler for the build, or are you getting one?
