Hi when I turn my laptop on it starts and then comes up that the operating syste

when I turn my laptop on it starts to come on and then goes blank and then comes up saying that the operating system not found. what do I do to get it to work

reinstall OS.... Whats the model of your computer?

Possible that the hard drive has failed... reinstalling the OS probably won't work.
