Hello,
Recently my I had a power outage while my computer was in hibernate mode. When I started the computer back up later that day, it informed be my BIOS settings had been reset.
Then Windows recovered and everything was happy.
Did the bios reset because Windows was in hibernate mode when the power went out?
I turned off my surge protector power while Windows was running to simulate a power outage. My bios settings stayed.
I turned off my PSU & unplugged my computer overnight & my settings remained.
Just wondering if anyone had an idea?
Brand new computer. MSI board.
I assume the power that shut it off was just a 'flicker' because one computer stayed on (was not in hibernate mode & had a lower load). One alarm clock reset also. Different power outlets. ><
If hibernate possibly caused it I'd like to know so I can turn it off.
