I have 1 PC with dual-boot of two Windows 10 installed on two different partition of a single HDD.
Could I Hibernate one and start another Windows 10?
If yes, how could i do this and is it safe for everything on my PC?

Thanks in advance.

about the only thing you could do is to buy yourself a hdd, install windows to it and take it out when your not using it.

this will keep it separate from your dad though you still have to turn off the pc to boot yourself thus ending whatever your dad is doing at the moment.

or you could possibly run your own win 10 in a virtual machine you can shut down when you're not using it.

can't think of any other options for you other than getting your own pc.
How do you swap the boot order so it boots into the 2nd install on the hdd? Do they both appear in the boot loader?

having 2x windows 10 on 1 system sounds like a headache to me. They will fight for control of boot loader

I am not sure you can hibernate one system and then boot onto same hdd in another install. I think if you tried you would lose any unsaved info on 1st install.

i actually have a pc with 2 different win 10 installs. one is insider preview.

giving it a shot i don't see a way to make it happen. hibernating does not turn it off which is needed in order to boot the other windows. and i don't see any way to keep the first one running in the background while turning off the pc to boot the second install.

a single install can leave a user "hibernating" while a second user works on the pc. that's been there for a long time now. perhaps this could be a good compromise for you? to use a single install and hot swap users for whatever reason you want to go back and forth.

Ah, but that's not the 'same' Win 10.
Even a dualboot of Home and Pro I can see.

But two identicals? Home-Home or Pro-Pro...
Problems will occur. And not related to hibernation.
