Hibernate, Windows 10, Shut Down

Windows 10 shuts down upon waking from hibernation/sleep. Kinda annoying since I will have had some programs open before hibernation and I'd have to repoen them when I come back. This does not seem to be the case after I perform a windows and graphics driver update, but It is annoying to have to go through this everytime there is an update.

Laptop or Desktop...? I've had issues with Hibernation on Desktop computers in the past. I normally disable it.

Check BIOS settings for sleep modes and read about the listed options.

I have a desktop with a GTX1070, i7-6700k. I had always set my computer to hibernate when I dont use it.

OK... Check for BIOS updates and other driver updates. If this issue just started, what changed?

Windows 10, which version? 1511, 1607, 1703?

Running 1607. It's probably a bios update since I haven't checked in a while

Disable hibernate, restart re-enable it and see what it does.

for now, just disable it if it is not functioning correctly and wait a couple of Windows Update cycles to see if it self resolves. As I said, I disable Sleep and Hibernate in my desktops and only do screen off timer.

A bios update seemed to have resolved this, thanks for your help
