what happens to my network adapter, when i hibernate my pc??

why does not the feature Wake On Lan work after that?
i have tried several times, but allways the same result....

Is your NIC WOL enabled?
Have you attached if needs be the cable from the NIC to the WOL pins on the
motherboard?
Have you enabled it to WOL?
What are you using to send the "magic packet" to the NIC to wake it ?
