Hidden CPU usage

Hello,

I followed the guide to remove malware and viruses from my system. That did not work for me. I am still experiening issue with a CPU usage of 100% while pushing the system minimal. I cant find out what process this is causing. I got a screen shot:

Can you guys help me out?

Which hardware are you using? CPU, RAM, motherboard

Did you have viruses or similar on that system?

which services and processes are using the CPU ?

Run the pc over night to complete updates

Sorry, i totally forgot to put these specs in: Windows 10 Home Edition - AMD E1-2500 1.4Ghz - 4GB RAM - AMD A68A Chipset -
- Last night I installed a fresh version of Windows 10 on it to see if that makes a differnce, it did not.
- I only a few browser tabs open, apart from that there were only system processes running.
- I have these issue for a few months, but this is not my main system so I didnt gave it a high priority to solve

That´s a very low end system and it might be normal for it.

While windows is freshly installed, it might need some time to update itself quite a while.

Check the ressource manager, which process exactly is using the CPU.

You can check with passmark, if the system works normal or not.

AMD.com drivers installed for this system?

Is it a Laptop? Which brand and model?


edit: in the image you posted, AVAST was installing, this could be it. Just let it install/update and have a look if it gets better over time.

- This is a Acer Asire laptop, I know it is has some real low specs but even then it should not hit 90% when idle?
- That Avast install whas becaus of this problem, even with Avast of it is still around 90%.
- I checked AMD drivers, will look into it again.

The real issue here is that task manager shows me 90% in use, but all the active processes together are around 50%.
So my thoughts are that a hidden process is using a lot performance of my system.

Resource Monitor, press Windows +R, type Resmon.exe

click at the CPU tab there and sort it by average CPU usage

You have to look at the tab Processor, thats shows the use in %.
The Radeon installer was only active for a few short time and it didnt even use 1% so...

I found out that if I close my web browser the usage drops down to around 20%, how can a browser use up to 70% with only one tab opened?

Looks like a common problem with Vivaldi.
Delete the profile of it
