Hidden modes refresh rate

Hi, I have a three years old monitor who support up to 1024x768@60Hz (the manual says so) but when I choose the hidden frequency modes in windows there are no problems with the image. I've tried with 75Hz,82Hz(linux) and 85Hz with no problems so I wonder if changing to this frequencies can damage my monitor in the future..

If your monitor isn't making a high pitched screaming sound you should be ok for a while

[Crashman]

The higher you set it, the faster it burns. I'd use 75Hz.
