hidden switch

The switch that is supposed to be hidden in the captain's study is too well
hidden for me. The map of the mansion shows two rooms, the study and a library,
separated and aligned East=West. The only two rooms that seem to qualify are
connected and aligned North-South. Plus neither look like what they are
supposed to be. The study looks more like a spare bedroom and the library has
only two bookcases (it has the stairs running up to the widow's bedroom). Still
the former is the closest candidate to the study there is. I've crept up and
down the walls several times w/o finding the switch. Where is it?

There is a desk in the study, and the button is on the underside of it.
IIRC. The study is on the ground floor.
