Hideously low fps on BF4

Today I decided after about a 3 week period to play BF4 with a friend. First game on Siege of Shanghai, I ran a clean and steady 60 fps, as is normal. The next game on Operation Locker, I was getting a MAXIMUM of 30 fps. My CPU is running at 4.4GHz and maybe that could be a problem? Temps are normal, around an average of 60C.

GPU - Radeon AMD HD7950 Gigabyte OC
CPU - i5 3570k @ 4.4GHz
Motherboard - ASUS P8Z77-V LE PLUS
Power Supply - Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus
RAM - 8GB Ballistix Tactical Tracer

4.4 is only a problem if you are running into thermal throttling, same goes for your 7950. Make sure to see dust buildup hasnt pushed you over your thermals limits. Also try turning v-sync off, as if you are under 60 at any time, it will lock you to the next multiple of your monitors refresh rate (in almost all cases this is 30)
