Hello guys,

I just did three benchmark tests on Userbenchmark out of curiosity and on all three showed high cpu background usage when nothing was open whilst task manager only shows 3-4% which I think is worrying? The only I change is I enabled XMP to run at 2933 recently. Resource monitor doesnt show anything running high so I'm at a loss. Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated. (I am relatively new to PC so be nice lol)

Specs are as follows:

CPU - Ryzen 5 2600 base clock
GPU - Zotac AMP 1070ti 8gb
Ram - 16gb G-Skill Trident Z RGB clocked at 2933
Motherboard - MSI X470 gaming plus

Task Manager is a fair reflection of background processes/utilization. Not sure where Userbenchmark would suggest that from, but 3-4% CPU usage at near idle seems totally normal.

Do you have additional apps/programs set to launch at startup? That might be what it's talking about

Hello,

I made a similar post a couple days ago, but another issue has arisen. When I first built my pc I obviously benchmarked it at userbenchmark, flew through it no problem. I did one a couple days ago, and everything was good except it kept reporting extremely high CPU usage despite nothing except the benchmark being open. I just kinda settled for that. I ran another one today, and now not only is it reporting extremely high cpu usage (which it did not the first few times i benchmarked after building) it is now saying my ram is running at a much lower speed and is underperforming. Any ideas?
