High CPU core temperature with no reasons.

I built my pc exactly 1 year ago. I use an intel i5 4690k cpu, with no overclocking done.
However, the CPU temperature is a little too hot recently.

This is my CPU cores' temperature when idle (after changing the thermal paste). Took this screenshot 5 mins after my computer booted up, and there is no other windows opened.

So I thought it might be the thermal paste dried up.
I cleaned all the dust, wiped the old paste away with some alcohol, applied some Arctic Silver 5 (pea size amount on the processor), pressed the fans downward and secured it.

And then, no, the core temperatures are not dropping. WHY?

For TL;DR:
Problem - High CPU core temperature.
Processor - intel i5 4690k
Overclocking - No
Cooler - Stock Intel processor cooler
Case - Fractal Node 804
Motherboard - Asus Maximus Gene VII
Fans status - All working
My room temperature - ~28C (tropical country)
Ventilation blockage - checked, nothing is blocking.

Tried Solutions:
- Reapplied thermal paste
- Removed all dusts in the machine

I used to be able to play games with ultra-high setting without any problem.
Here are some games I played:

Witcher 3:
last time - gpu temperature is 68-69C maximum, no auto shutdown
recently - gpu temperature is still 68-69C, but will face some random shutdown (not BSOD. It is more like a reboot) after a few hours of playing.

FalIout 4:
last time - gpu temperature is 68-69C maximum, no auto shutdown
recently - gpu temperature is still 68-69C, but will face some random shutdown (not BSOD. It is more like a reboot) after a few hours of playing. In falIout 4, sometime i might need to let the PC to rest a while before it allowed me to boot up.

Advance thanks for any helps.

It does not really matter which temperature software I use.
No matter which software I use, the PC still autoshutdown due to overheating when I am gaming (which only started to happen recently)

You need to correctly identify the temperature of the CPU and GPU to see which one might be overheating or to look elsewhere for a problem. Shutdowns can be caused by temps, or a failing motherboard, PSU, GPU or CPU. The temps you show right now aren't high enough to be a concern and I want to make sure that's an accurate assumption.

Here is my temperature using RealTemp.

I would say that it was at idle. (no other windows were running except RealTemp)

it is unlikely that the CPU would cause the PC to shut down due to overheating, it will just throttle, same with the GPU, so something else is doing that. Can we have your full system specs (inc make and model of PSU), and load GPU and CPU temps. I'm not that surprised at 54C idle with 28C ambients outside the case, therefore easily 35-40 inside the case.

Hi I will try my best to provide the full spec .

Motherboard - Asus Maximus Gene VII
Processor - i5 4690k (but I dont do overclocking)
GPU - Asus STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5 (again, I dont do overclocking)
Case - Fractal Node 804
PSU - Cooler Master Elite 500W
RAM - Kingston HyperX Fury ddr3 4GB x2
SSD - Samsung evo 850
HHD - Seagate 7200rpm 1TB

When playing games (like falIout4 or witcher 3 with maximum settings), the GPU usually hits 70C temperature at maximum, and CPU is around 80C core temperature.
When idle, GPU is around 40C and CPU is around 50-60C core temperature.

I actually did some calculation before getting the PSU. It should be able to handle all the power needed.

so does that mean that I should get a new PSU ?
