High CPU Temperature.

System Information:
MB: Asus Rampage IV Gene
CPU: Intel I7 3930K
CPU Liquid Cooling: Corsair H100i

A couple weeks ago my system went into Bluescreen after intense CPU Load. BIOS shows overclock failure and reboot. My CPU was overclocked at 4.5Ghz with 1.405v.

I desided to clean out my system, remove some dust and replace thermal paste.
I removed the overclock and went back to stock settings.

After this i get an idle CPU temp between 38°C and 60°C. But on heavy load i get a temp between 70°C and 90°C. 100% load gives 91°C.

The Corsair H100I radiator is mounted on the roof with the fans pushing air into the radiator from the case interior. With a fan controller i can read that my case interior temp around the radiator is between 25°C and 30°C.

Any idea what can bring this problem? Maybe the Corsair H100i is broken? From the software i can read that the pump is working but the liquid temp goes up with the CPU. Maybe the liquid circulation is stuck somewhere in the radiator?

Thanks in advance for any input.
Grtz

if its mounted on the roof of the case it should have the air coming out the top as an exhaust the if you click on the corsair link software and in the pump section should be on performance but apart from that maybe if you are getting them temperatures then it maybe time to get a new cooler.

If there's air in the system, or the hose is kinked at sharp angle, that would restrict water flowing.

Try taking the whole H100I out and tip it upside down. If there's a pocket of air or bubble, that should dislodge it. If the fluid has truly run low, then you're on borrowed time before the next event, in that situation you can't refill it and thus would have to be replaced.
