Hi
I had issues with high CPU temperatures (I'm talking 90-100C) when playing games so I did a bit of a clean-up. Then I went to the BIOS to see what it shows there and it was a pleasant 34C. Out of curiosity, I had a look at the presets and selected the "Gaming" settings. Since then the temperature on the BIOS is showing 72C and the PC is performing horribly - it's way easier to get it to the boiling point now.
I tried the other preset (daily usage) and resetting to default, but it maintains the 72C on the BIOS. The recent changes feature also doesn't show what exactly I changed by switching the presets.
The CPU is Intel i5-4690K 3.50GHz
What settings could mess it up like this?
