Question High CPU temps in bios

I just built a budget PC for my brother with a Ryzen 3 3200G and when i booted it up the temps in BIOS where already at 50 degrees. I haven`t installed any OS yet. WRAITH cooler is spinning so is case fans and GPU

I wouldn't worry about the BIOS temperature just yet, the 3rd gen Ryzen can run quite hot, and CPU temps are often higher in the BIOS than in Windows as there are no power saving features acting upon it at that point. Realistically the only way you can properly tell if there is a big problem is by working in Windows and checking load temperatures.

To be safe you can always ensure that thermal paste has been properly applied and the CPU cooler is adequately seated.

Once you get an OS on there, then monitor the temperatures there but you will find it could easily fluctuate between 40 and 50 degrees due to how the 3rd gne chips work.

As long as under load you keep the chip below 85 degrees (as a general rule) then you'll be fine
