I've recently bought an ASUS x550jx notebook
It has Intel i5-4200h CPU- GTX 950M and 8gbs of ram.
Im using Balanced Mode as a battery mode all the time.
My Cpu idle temp is around 38-40
But when im playing CS:GO or another game in high settings my cpu reaches 95C
it doesn't shut itself down or anything but the fan goes crazy.

I bought this laptop 2 months ago and cleaned heatsink, re-applied thermal paste several times.
Im using arctic mx-4 for now
can you guys help me out here ? i have used the line method and my cpu doesn't have a metal case around it so it has a smaller space to apply the thermal paste than a regular desktop cpu

a laptop cpu no matter what it is can't or at least Should never reach those temps 95c is ridiculous. You sure it's not Fahrenheit? Then again laptops are pretty darn confined. I'd look into an external cooling solution like a lap cooler or putting the laptop on a stable surface like a desk not a bed that can potentially block up fan holes. If the air can't exhaust then the laptop can't get cooler.

yeah im sure it is celcius.
also there aren't many holes at the bottom of the laptop. just a single one at the center 6x4 centimeters long so im confused about how affective a cooling pad can be
