HIgh CPU usage across all games with i5-7600k

I took a vacation a few days ago and came back to find most games were performing much worse then before the vacation, I noticed this was due mainly to my cpu being used at 100%, I played games before and it often went up in the 90's but my fps was fine, now in about half the games i play i get 10 to 15 fps less, the major games i noticed this on was on Destiny 2, Rainbow six Siege, fallout 4 and Witcher 3. I was thinking a Windows Update had something to do with it. I tried setting the priority to high, lowering settings, re-installing games and changed the power setting but to no avail, I play at 1440p 75fps medium to high settings, I have a gtx 1070, an i5-7600k overclocked to 4.6ghz and 16gb of ram. I ran userbenchmark and almost all my parts were either above expectations or working as expected. My temps are fine too, around 70c, i tried unloading phyx to the gpu but that did nothing.

Nope, did a virus scan and everything, in task manager, the game uses up 85-90% of the cpu, the next most cpu intensive task usually only uses about 3-4%

I don't know then. Did you change anything before going on vacation? Is the power plan set to high performance?
