High cpu usage bf1

I have a i7 7700k and gtx 1080 but get 85% to 95% cpu usage and 70% gpu usage in bf1 I don't understand what the issue could be as my friend has almost the same build but his runs with 50 to 60% cpu and 99% gpu

Yeah ik that but I watched videos on it and they have lower cpu usage than I do and have 120fps + and I'm stuck at like 80 no matter if I lower the settings or not

What clock speed is it? I've found that it dips down with lots of people around, but doing nothing running across the desert the FPS is significantly higher.

4.5ghz and it doenst throttle at all stays consistent

Yeah I've tried that and still no difference :/

I highly doubt your friends loads unless he's playing @4k

85-95% CPU load in BF1 on an i7 is common.
Got the same.

Yeah I got 100% across several threads when I first logged in one game, but it went down after a minute. Usually stays above 65%, 85% is normal to me.

The thing I don't get is why is my fps so low I only get 75 to 90 when it should be easily above 100 but it's only when the the cpu hits a high % and that's even when nothing is happening
