High CPU Usage causes Fps drops

Hello guys,
I recently bought a new PC but I can't play certain games with it properly.
CS:GO runs on +128 fps for a while.
As soon as the CPU-usage reaches 50%-70%, the fps drops down to 10-30fps.
While playing the temparature is 61°C and while idling it is about 30°C.
This same problem occurs when I'm playing TERA


PC specs:

AMD FX 6300
Nvidia GTX 750 2Gb
Asrock 960GM-VGS3-FX
8GB Ram
Windows 7 Professional 64bit

Its most likely an automatic feature whenever it reaches a certain temperature. 60 celsius is pretty hot for a Computer. Go out and buy a cooler master hyper 212 evo, hopefully that issue will be fixed.

Your CPU is thermal throttling, 61 deg C is the magic number for AMD.

No, I would suggest a different cooler or perhaps checking/reapplying the thermal paste. The only way you would need to replace the mobo is if you have a VRM issue.

Edit: clarification..the thermal protections are built into the CPU.

I asked one friend about this problem ( he also has a fx 6300) and he is able to play at 61°C without any problems.

Oh it won't cause any problems (right away) but it does drop performance. Also remember heat+electronics=bad.
