For starters, I want to know if you guys think that my power supply may be at fault.
Battlefield 1 for example, no matter if I'm running at low settings or ultra (1080p) I get the same framerate. The framerate is not locked, because it shoots up when I look straight up. My cpu usage is generally 80% + in BF1 but my gpu tends to be around 30%-40% usage with a framerate just below 60fps.
I feel like my power supply may be at fault here. It's about 3.5 years old now as well. It's an XFX Pro 550w 80+ Bronze. It only has one 6+2 and one 6 pin, but my gtx 1070 needs two 6+2 pin to power, so I have an adapter that makes two 4 pin molex into one 8 pin.
SPECS:
i5-4670k stock clocks
Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H
GTX 1070 / Radeon HD 7970
16gb 2x8 Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
XFX Pro 550w
