High Cpu usage, not adding up

I have a high cpu usage at idle with nothing else running but its not adding up

In the screen shot I have siege running but still, even after I close it I still haev 80% cpu usage but the % are not adding up

I don't understand what you mean by % not adding up. ooking at your screen shot, I didn't see any obvious discrepancy

When you stop a long running task, the operating system has to do a lot of things to clean up.

How long does CPU usage stay high?

I'd run a quick Malwarebytes Antimlaware pass, to make sure you are not mining Monero or Bitcoin for someone too lazy to work.

If it comes back clean, try www.freefixer.com and look at every non-greenlisted entry quite carefully, being careful what you scedule for deletion...

Also, a detailed scan with roguekiller64 portable (2/3rds of the way down their webpage) is also a good idea....takes a while, let it run.

What cpu are you using? you are sure running apps in background

I have found that when I end lighting services (asus aura) my cpu usage goes from 80% idle usage to 20% idle usage even though lighting services was only using 17%

It may have been using other Dlls that were also using CPU.
