High Disk Usage up to 100%

Hi,

I am starting to notice that my computer's disk usage goes up to 100% and tends to float around 50-100 but I don't know how to fix this. I opened up the resource monitor and the processes that are using the most B/sec are svhost.exe and system. If anyone could help me that would be great, thank you.

Disk, or CPU? How much memory do you have in your system?

Run a virus scan and malware scan. Either of those will cause this. If you are low on memory it will do the same thing. If you find nothing that way take a run with scandisk. You may be having a drive die. Also like srobin said you will need to give your specs.

Try this. Download malwarebytes free, run a scan. Run chameleon mode in malwarebytes, run all the chameleons. Download ESET smart security trial. Install it run a scan after updating it. Will fix your problem for now if it is malware.
