High Download speeds but poor ping?

So recently we moved outside the Houston area and we decided to go with AT&T U-verse for our ISP. I have been searching through forums for weeks to try and improve my ping, and now have turned to this forum. When it comes to networking I am no expert but any help would be great. Currently I have the setup as so: U-verse -> 2WIRE704 -> Apple Airport Extreme -> Ethernet Hub -> Wired connection to my computer.

Speedtest.net will normally give me 5-20 mbps speeds up and .5 - 1.3 down, with my ping around 30.

Yet in online games my ping shoots up over 250. Results of my test are below, as well as results from UV realtime. Any Clues?

Generally yes, if you are hardwired to the att device I would suggest calling them to troubleshoot. I may be an internal line issue which they won't actually cover sometimes. What speed are you paying for? If your speed is lower that would be another indication its a problem on their end. I pay for 18/1.5 and it is almost always dead on that, or slightly above.
I would certainly start by hard wiring your desktop to the U-Verse router/modem and see what the results look like there. I realize that might not be a long term solution, but you could establish that the ATT side of things is in good order and start working through the other pieces in your network from that point.

That's actually one of the first things I tried and it yielded the same results. Does this mean that it's almost guaranteed to be an AT&T problem?
