I'm building a new rig and have spent weeks looking meticulously over each part and have a list nailed down, but I want a lot of outside opinions, views, and critiques. Price isn't a huge deal for me, although I do not want to exceed $2500.

Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 800D http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139001 -$280

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136792 - $140

GPU: EVGA SuperClocked GTX 570 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130622 X2 - $340 ($680)

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072 - $220

PSU: CORSAIR HX1050 1050W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139034 - $220

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB 1600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144 - $59

MOBO: ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131760 - $335

Along with a couple of small things the total comes to $2,103.

I was thinking of grabbing a SSD, thoughts on certain brands? I hear good things about OCZ but that they have bad drivers, and I know Intel is very reliable, but I have no clue on which brand to get.

Also, I wasn't planning on over clocking too much, should I bother to get a new heatsink, or will the stock work.

And as far as the case goes, is it worth it? I was looking at the HAF X, but decided to settle with the 800D, is it going to be a big difference. Money isn't a problem, but I don't want to waste money on a case that will run mildly cooler.

Why that motherboard? Do you really need all the features It provides, or you just picked the most expensive mobo you can find?

Ps. Please Fill this up http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261222-31-build-advice

Quick suggestions:
GEt the asrock extreme4 z68 instead and save ~$135 it will sli, ivy bridge ready and has 2 pci3.0.
Get the corsair graphite 600t and save ~$120
get 2x samsung f3 spinpoint instead and save ~20

The above saving alone are almost enough to upgrade your gpu to gtx580 sli.

Motherboard performance is tightly locked to the chipset . The difference between a $300 board and a $100 board is pretty much nothing .
Except the added features like extra pci-e slots . You dont plan on using any of those features . Its your money and you can spend it how you like , but you dont NEED to spend
$335 on mb , or $280 on a case , or even $220 on a power supply

You can have much more for way less

Sorry, thought I said this, I plan on getting 3-way sli with those 570's, possibly a fourth card somewhere down the road, that's why I have that motherboard and powersupply.

Tri gtx 570 is overkill for your resolution. I'd suggest go for dual gtx580 then upgrade your monitor to a nice 2500x1600.

Check out asrock extreme7 gen3. Tri sli, pci3 slots, usb3. Well reviewed.
