High End Gaming System ($2500)

I'm looking at upgrading my 5 year old Intel Duo Core. My budget is $2500 all in. I plan on buying in the next few weeks.

This is only meant for gaming, and I only need the system ( no peripherals, monitor etc).


Looking at:

Sabertooth x79
i7-3930K cpu
G.Skill Sniper 4 x 8GB 14900 Memory
Asus GTX770 card.
NZXT Phantom Full Tower Case.
Force Series 3 90 GB SATA 3
HX 850 watt Corsair PSU.
Western Digital WD 3TB SATA3 3.5in 64M

A quiet system would be nice but not necessary. If the SSD seems low volume it's from my previous computer, which I'm hoping to use in the new one. Thanks for the help!

-No need for an i7 in gaming, yet alone LGA 2011. Stick with an i5-4670k with a LGA 1150 motherboard like the Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H or ASRock Z87 Extreme6.
-No need for 32gb of ram, games don't even use 8gb. Stick with 2x4gb ram.

Stick to the above build, but change the 760 out for a 780. You can even through in two if at high resolutions or multi monitor setups.

Good idea, but they are really expensive right now and should go on sale in december.

There's really no point in socket LGA 2011 in games. They're extremely expensive and doesn't provide much performance over a regular i5 in games.
Also, 16gb of ram is also un-necessary.
